Dr Koos Marais is a graduate from the University of Pretoria who also taught at his alma mater for twelve years. Currently he is in full time private practice, restricted to endodontics and he headed up the undergraduate program in endodontics at the University of the Witwatersrand for the period 2007-2008. He has authored 27 scientific articles, dozens of popular scientific articles and abstracts and has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally. He is also the author of an endodontic textbook, The Essentials of Easy and Enjoyable Endodontics as well as of The Excellent and Effective Dentist.
